SAINT Joseph catholic school (Tenaru) has kicked off this academic year in cultural style to welcome new staff and students.
The school held a cultural night last Saturday at the school.
Various student groups from the provinces showcase their culture during the night which was packed with entertainment.
Speaking at the opening of the cultural night deputy Principal Abraham Haiuasi told the new students that the school wants the students to appreciate the type of culture that was practiced in the school.
Mr Haiuasi said the importance of the cultural night was not about dances or talents that students were performing but is about being together as a community, a school and most of all as a family.
He thanked the Ministry of Culture and Tourism for their assistance in funding to repair the ‘Ten Pac’ which is the building where students always hold their cultural activities inside.
