This was part of series of celebration to mark their 50th Anniversary since the revival broke out in the province.
Late Silas Eto known as Holy Mama, started the revival after disagreement with Methodist missionaries who brought the gospel to Western province.
His son, Ekan Rove is currently the spiritual authority of the movement.
His brother, Job Duddley Tausinga is the current seasoned Member of Parliament for North New Georgia.
Former United Church Moderator, Philimon Riti said late Eto was the former catechist of Methodist Church.
A catechist is a person who has a license to serve in the church.
“He (Eto) was a prayful man who can fast and read the bible,” he said.
“He’s (Eto) the first indigenous man to lead the revival but because the missionaries then did not know honor his work.
“As such he went in his own way of worship,” Riti said.
As part of reminding the history of the movement to the CFC followers, Mr Tausinga invited Riti and Reverend Bato of Methodist church to the celebration at Hopongo, Rendova last Sunday.
Riti said they wanted to re-emphasise the Methodist way of worship to the people because they went in their own way of worship.
But he in the middle of the service, handed over it to Tausinga to go straight to how CFC or New Life worship.
Riti said this was part of the liturgical order of worship.
The CFC movement was a well known and powerful movement in the Western province as it controlled about 85 percent of it.
But its worship was totally different from the Solomon Islands Christian Association (SICA) and Solomon Islands Full Gospel Association (SIFGA) movements in the country.
Earlier, the CFC followers marked it at Kohingo in Vona Vona lagoon where Riti did not attend.
