According
to SICA, during the week leading up to Pentecost, on Wednesday the 23rd
of May, they plan an ecumenical gathering to celebrate to desire for Christians
Unity.
It
said the weekend of 21st and 22nd of July, they have set
aside as SICA Weekend which they hope will be a special time of prayer for and
support of the works of SICA.
SICA
will also host the 10th General Assembly of the Pacific Conference
of Churches September 9th to the 16th.
“SICA
looks forward for the very challenging event of hosting this Conference.
“We
are looking forward to the cooperation of the full SICA Family in preparation
for this very important event that will bring together delegates from the PCC
Members churches from all over the Pacific,” SICA said.
The
theme of the 10th General Assembly is: Act Justly, Love Tenderly,
Walk Hubbly with you God (Micah 6:8).
The
SICA AGM is calling on all sectors of our country to support SICA in its
efforts to uphold the value of Christian Unity in 2012.
“When we are working together in love we are laying the necessary foundations for peace, reconciliation and nation building,” it said.
