Solomon Star West Guadalcanal stringer John Toki said the fundraising was part of their preparation towards a youth rally that will be held next week at Avuavu.
Mr Toki said lots of religious activities were carried out during the fundraising.
“People supported the program to ensure youths to take part in the upcoming rally.”
He said more than $3000 was raised during the fundraising activity.
The rally will he organised by Avuavu Parish in partnership with the Catholic diocese of Honiara.
