A DVD of the 2010 Solomon Islands Mission of the Seventh Day Adventist Church Youth Congress was launched on Saturday.

The DVD features some of the activities and memories of the weeklong event.

It was compiled by local producer and Australian based Troy Livah and the Livahline Media, in association with the SDA TV network ‘Hope Channel,’and the Solomon Islands SDA Mission.

Speaking at the launching, Youth Coodinator Lloyd Tahani said this year’s Youth Congress was indeed special and they were fortunate to have it featured in a DVD.

“This is the first time that we’ve made such achievement. With the DVD, youths are able to go back home with a copy of what has been happening all throughout the week,” Mr Tahani said.

The week featured messages by guest speaker Dr Baraka Muganda and music by various singing group.

Mr Tahani said that this was the start of other major projects that the church has in store for youths this year.

Guest speaker Dr Baraka Muganda said he was indeed glad to have had a copy of the week-long program.

“Now I can have fond memories of what it was like to have been part of the Solomon Islands Mission Youth Congress 2010,” he said.

Dr Muganda thanked the production team for their hard work and also thanked young Solomon Islanders for their participation throughout the weeklong program, which he said was a success.

Meanwhile, Livahline Media is currently working on a music DVD which featured local groups that participated in a musical concert hosted on Saturday.
