SEVENTH Day Adventists around the world will hold their 59th General Conference from June 23 to July 3 in Atlanta, Georgia, United States of America.
The conference will bring together leaders of the church world wide.
President of SDA general conference Jan Paulsen said the convention is a unique occasion for the church.
“There is no moment in the life of the Church that demonstrates so vividly, the extraordinary way God's Spirit is moving among us,” Pastor Paulsen said.
He said he is happy to invite representatives from the church world wide to attend the 59th session in Atlanta.
“Through these gatherings we powerfully affirm that we are one people, united in faith, and bound by our shared desire to be instruments of God’s purpose in the world”.
“The conference is a time to worship our Lord, celebrate the international flavors of our family,” he said.
The general conference president added that the occasion was chosen to explore the role of the local church pastor in the life and witness of the Adventist church.
“The conference will also be used to review and evaluate, to exchange ideas and make plans, and to ask.”
Pastor Paulsen further stated that as SDA leaders will pray, plan and together with each other, the Holy Spirit will surely blessed them.
“This will be a moment to rededicate ourseleves to the Lord and to ask of proclaiming his grace to the world,” Pastor Paulsen confided.
The general conference will be launched under the theme “Proclaiming God's Grace”.
A delegation from the local SDA mission is expected to attend.
