GOOD health is God’s will for mankind.

This was the message conveyed to the Ravulomata Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) congregation at Panueli district, Savo Island.

The church concluded its health week program on Saturday night with theme “Your church a health promoting church”.

Savo church pastor Selwyn Samani and his team of volunteer conducted the health week with a series of training, seminars, pray sessions, and health awareness talks.

These talks featured various health educators giving talks on health related issues.

The health workers were those serving on Savo and were engaged by the church to educate its congregation on health related issues.

Pastor Samani said the health week was a success and helped a lot of people understand how to live a healthy lifestyle.

Pr Samani said the main message of that week is ‘Health is God’s will’.

“God wants his children to be healthy and prosper in life”.

Pr Samani said youths also took part in the programmes.

He said the health programmes must be held quarterly to keep reminding church members and people of Savo about good health.

He added that the government and other relevant bodies need to engage with the people of Savo on health awareness talks.

“Health is everybody’s business so we should promote it everywhere.”

Pr Samani said the SDA church in Savo will continue to promote healthy lifestyle on the island.

He said the church’s next health talk will be conducted at Pokilo Primary School.
