The Hope Channel can be viewed through the UHF channel on frequency 687.25 and its free.
The Christian channel become operational late last week.
The Hope Channel is an international Seventh-day Adventist TV network and the flagship station of the Adventist Television Network (ATN).
Hope Channel features programming produced by Adventist churches, colleges, hospitals and institutions, covering religious, health, educational and family life topics.
The network's slogan is ‘Bringing God's Truth Home’.
Hope Channel is a 24-hour broadcaster on many satellites and cable networks around the world and is available over-the-air in some communities.
It is also available for live Internet streaming from their website.
The Hope Channel was launched October 10, 2003 by Adventist Television Network (ATN).
The official launch of the network will be held tomorrow at the Marantha Hall during the Church’s session.
Chief Executive of local Adventist TV Station here Alfred Maesulia said it had taken years to get the station up and running due to lack of facilities and funds.
He said now that the funds are made available plus support from other organizations like Our Telekom the Channel can now be relayed and transmitted to local viewers.
In the coming months local church programs will be aired in the TV.
The Adventist church acquired its license to operate in 2007.
Our Telekom has assisted the church by providing a tower to allow the station to broadcast its programs.
Hope Channel is broadcasted 24 hours daily.
During the past few years, Hope Channel has grown to include a global family of channels that broadcast culturally relevant programs in different languages.
Today, Hope Channel consists of multiple global channels that can be seen by hundreds of millions of homes and our own business network of 30,000 downlink sites.
Hope Channel continues to grow as it seeks to meet the needs of different people groups.
New channels are being developed in the Arabic language for Islamic cultures, in Mandarin for Chinese, and the Russian language for Russia and countries of the former USSR.
Media centers are being opened and expanded in strategic locations to ensure production of quality programming.
And Solomon Islands is one of the latest inclusion.
So far many local Adventist viewers have welcomed the new service.
Another Christian station which has been operational for years in the country is the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN).
