A candle lighting service will be held today to remember victims of domestic violence.
OXFAM is hosting the event which will starting at 5pm at the Rove Police grounds.
The service will start with a short peaceful parade from the Museum to Rove field.
The official program will unfold starting with the lighting of candles, followed by bible readings as speeches.
The program will end with the laying of wreaths in remembrance of women and children who suffered and died because of violence and war, and for survivors of violence.
The event is part of the 16 days of activism campaign and white ribbon day.
