The programme, “Engaging young people to eliminate crime against women and girls”, is funded by the UN Women.
Nairy Alamu of Family Support Centre said the programme will be conducted in schools and communities.
She said the awareness is aimed at educating people on Gender Base Violence.
“With this funding from UN Women we are privileged to reach out to these communities.”
She added if the programme is successful, they will extend it to other provinces.
“It is our wish to reach the whole country as there is a need for people to be educated on issues affecting women, girls and children of this country,” Ms Alamu added.
