With less than four weeks to go before the inauguration of the “Iumi Wan Festival” organized by Rebelle Inc, Julian Marley, son of Bob Marley has sent in a video of his excitement and a shout out to citizens of Solomon Islands.

In the short video, which has been shared virally amongst fans in Honiara on Facebook and is now available on Youtube, Julian Marley exclaims, “It’s all about the 8th of January at the Honiara University (S.I.N.U)”.

Julian ends the clip with “one love, one aim and one destiny to all the people, brothers and sisters out there - unity is the solution”, a message that is quintessential to the significance of the ‘Iumi Wan Festival’ and complies strongly with his music as well as his late father, Bob Marley.

It’s theme this year is “Wan Pipol, Wan Solo, Wan Love” reinforcing the idea of a prosperous Solomon Islands in unity.

A statement from the Rebelle Inc organisers expressed their sincere gratitude to the sponsors that have come on board and committing to support this important and worthwhile event.

“Preparations are well under way and with only four weeks to go before the show, we hope that we can give the nation and those attending the best music festival in our country’s history”, said Rebelle Inc.

“We are also grateful to the RSIPF, local security firms and RAMSI for working with our security professional officer. And the SI Immigration approving all the band’s visas in a quick and efficient manner.

“We would like to also thank the SINU, SIRUF, SIFF and HCC board for their understanding and support of the Festival, Heritage Park Hotel and Solomon Airlines and the media for their positive promotions”, said Rebelle Inc.
