All Saints parishioners successfully commemorated the All Saints Day at the All Saint church in Honiara on Sunday.

The day started with a Holy Communion, followed by feasting and concluded with a colorful entertainment.

The Archbishop of the Anglican Church of Melanesia and the Bishop of Central Melanesia the Most Rev David Vunagi was the chief celebrant and preacher of the service.

In his sermon His Grace has highlighted the importance of the saints in the church and society.
He reminded the congregation to imitate the way saints have doing their worked on this earth.

Saints are the people that stand along for the loyalty of God, said the Archbishop.

The head of the Anglican Communion said saints are the people who give their lives to God.
“We must have purpose in our lives like the saint people, because they bring people to Christ Said His Grace.”

He said saint’s people live with the faith; they take people to Christ.
“Saints people are not someone who speaks along; they must show the people how to live according to what God want,” said the Archbishop.

Archbishop Vunagi said there are two important thing which people needs to have like the saints, they are example and inspiration.
“Example is what saints demonstrated to show the quality of life in them, in addition to that inspiration is what the saints do to lead the people,” said His Grace.

The Bishop of the Central Melanesia in his sermon explained that saints are the people who realized their spiritual life and change people to become saints and not to give up.

His Grace has encouraged the All Saints parishioners to take the challenge as the saints.
After the Holy Communion, a great feast was hosted for all parishioners and visiting friends.

The highlight of the day was the entertainment provided by the groups from dioceses within the All Saints parish.
The Diocese of Central Solomon group has stolen the show with their traditional shield dancing.
“This event is one of the best and colorful occasions I had witness, all members have a lot of fun and excitement,” said a parishioner.
“We must express gratitude to the church executive and the members for the effort they made to host this very success event.”

The All Saints chairman Michael Anita has thanked the church members for the support and cooperation to successfully host the event.

The chairman also acknowledged His Grace the Archbishop for accepting their request and to be part of All Saints family to commemorate their saint’s day.
