The Pacific Islands reggae sensations Naio from Vanuatu and Solomon Islands very own Native Stoneage will perform at Art Gallery showground on Saturday September 30 and Sunday October 1.
Organiser of the concert Allan Siau told the Solomon Star that this two-day concert marks a milestone partnership between the two famous reggae bands in the Pacific.
“This will be a show for reggae fans in the country.
“Naio and Native Stoneage are two famous reggae bands in the Pacific region and their joint-concert will be a thriller for their fans in the country,” he said.
Mr Siau said the concert will also feature some of the famous reggae bands in the country- Jaro Local, Dezine, Jah Roots, DMP, Cool Roots and Chrystal Roots.
“This concert will be an inclusive one as it will also feature the roots reggae and island reggae bands.
“We want to revive the true Melanesian spirit of friendship under the banner of reggae music,” Mr Siau said.
Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Andrew Nihopara will officially open the concert.
Mr Siau said the show on Saturday 30 September will start at 10:30 am whilst the show on Sunday 1 October will begin 1:30pm.
He said tickets are selling at $30 for adults and $20 for children.
