The youth members from the main White River SDA church its three hive churches at Forest Valley, Kakabona and Wind Valley.
The youths kicked off their youth camp out starting on Friday and finally concluding on Sunday afternoon.
The camp out is part of the Church’s annual program for the youths and it also coincided with the schools’ one week break.
At the camp site the youths were divided into five colours namely blue, green, red, yellow and white.
From Friday night until Saturday afternoon the youths went through a number of spiritual activities which included prayer, singing, sharing testimonies, offerings, discussion of topics, studying of bible characters and many more.
On Saturday afternoon, the highlight was allowing the youths to identify their God-given gifts.
From Saturday night until Sunday afternoon it was all dedicated to social activities such as concert night, queen shows and various games.
This was done through a series of questions and answers thanks to Youth Minister Maebule Tome who was engaged throughout the weekend to lead and share with the youths.
For some of the youths, they said it was an enlightening experience to identify their own gifts.
On the final day of the campout the youths were engaged in a parade, competitions, sports activities and games such as eating competition, drinking competition, tug-o-war based on their group colours.
At the end of the competition the groups were awarded accordingly.
Most of the youths following the time out by the beach have acknowledged the importance of such programs which allowed them to share God’s word with other youths and also build their relationship with God.
A number of non-Adventist youths also attended the event.
