The [email protected] program as part of the many initiatives to promote youths produces a magazine.
The magazine produced by youths themselves focuses on youth issues.
Some of the particular topics in the first magazine include youth feature stories, arts and entertainment issues, health and youth advisory topics.
The launching was witness by hundreds of youths in and around Honiara in the presence of the Minister for women, youths, children and family affairs Jimson Fiau Tanaganda.
Youth at work program manager Sandra Bartlett at the launching ceremony encouraged youths that have interest in writing to expose their skills by contributing into the Solomon islands youth magazine.
She said Solomon Islands youth magazine is all about Solomon Islands young people sharing and helping each other to grow.
“It’s about exposing and expressing ourselves. To express the creativity and talents youth have and to let the country know great things that youths can do.”
Youth @ work initiative came about three years ago aimed at tackling youth issues and unemployment, and how those issues can be addressed.
