The Solomon Islands School of Ministry of the Assembly of God Church has successfully concluded its one month training in Noro, Western Province, recently.

About 40 pastors of the AOG in Honiara, Malaita, and Western provinces participated in the training from May 16 – June 10.

The speakers came from Australia, namely Clyde Marback, James Cromption, Paul Camac and Peter Little.

Marback spoke on “Ordering your Private World”, Cromption on “Stewardship and Leadership”, Camac on “Giftings” and Little on “Encouragement and Technology”.

The AOG church also extended its invitation to other churches around Munda like South Seas Evangelical Church (SSEC) and United Church.

Speaking at the graduation of the training at AOG Trinity church in Munda, Pastor Kenneth Mamali Itaa said this was the first time for such training to be held outside of Honiara.

Pastor Mamali, who is also the general secretary of AOG Solomon Islands, said in the past when the training was held in Honiara, most of the pastors in the provinces could not attend.

As such, he said the training will now be rotating among the provinces to allow pastors serving in the communities to attend and equip with the word of God.

Furthermore, Pastor Mamali said he was impressed to see churches in Munda and Noro grew after they planted them in the past years.

He said pastors in Western Pprovince have risen up with their work despite the many challenges they face in their work.

One of the participants, Augustine Geve, said the training had helped him to understand more of God’s word and energized him to move forward with his work in the church.

Geve said during their time in Noro, they also visited churches the township, Munda, and Gizo to share the gospel and conducted outreach at the markets.
