The two-day celebration which was hosted by the Auki Parish at the St Paul Anglican church to commemorate the founder of the Mother's Union worldwide ended with a feast on Wednesday afternoon.
A total of eight parishes attended the KEAVA Region Mother’s Union Mary Sumner’s Day Celebration which started on Tuesday and ended successfully on Wednesday afternoon.
The program commemoration started with a group prayer on Tuesday afternoon after the arrival of the Mother’s Union representatives from the eight parishes.
The program continued on Tuesday night with fundraising and entertainment provided by each of the mother’s union groups.
The program then continued on Wednesday morning with a march through Auki town to St Paul’s Anglican church where the program ended with prayers and feasting.
