Central Island provincial government under the leadership of premier Stanley Manetiva will amend the current provincial business licences ordinance (PBLO).

This is because the current ordinance is outdated and not productive in terms of generating income for the province, premier Manetiva revealed this an interview yesterday.

Mr Manetiva said the licences ordinance was passed during the colonial government days therefore provincial government will make amendments this year.

“We would change our business licences ordinance this year so that we do away with this old ordinance.

“The current ordinance is outdated and the current government will amend this business licence ordinance this year to improve our revenue income for the province,” Mr Manetiva said.

A date for the meeting to deal with this ordinance will be announced later.
