RICOH Managing Director, Michael Pollok, has arrived in Honiara as part of the New Zealand Pacific Business Council trade mission.

Mr Pollok is joined by other New Zealand business executives who hope to strengthen trade links between the Solomon Islands and New Zealand.

“The Solomon Islands is a nation of tremendous economic potential,” says Mr Pollok.

“This week Ricoh will demonstrate how technology can help unlock that potential.”

Ricoh is a Fortune 500 company, with over 100,000 employees worldwide, and is the market leader in print and communications technology.

“Ricoh unified communications, for example, can enable remote Islands to participate in economic and educational opportunities in Guadalcanal while Ricoh electronic records can increase productivity and transparency,” says Mr Pollok.

“These technologies can help the Solomon Islands drive inclusive economic growth and ensure all Solomon Islanders share that success.”

As part of his visit, Mr Pollok will be presenting a keynote to business leaders about digital transformation and will meet with Government agencies about how Ricoh can help them transform paper-intensive processes into efficient digital workflows.

The trade delegation will depart Honiara at the end of the week.

Ricoh Solomon Islands Limited is located at Central Plaza, Honiara.
