NZ business mentors here to assist us

01 July 2014

The Pacific Business Mentoring Programme mentors are in Honiara for another week-long training and mentoring to old and new client businesses.

The programme will start this morning and will end Friday 4 July 2014 at the Heritage Park Hotel.

The Pacific Business Mentoring Programme, which is funded by the New Zealand Aid Programme, operates in 9 countries across the Pacific, and has been working in Honiara since 2011.

To date, 78 local businesses have been supported under the programme.

There are five mentors who are advising the participating businesses. Each mentor is a successful business person in New Zealand and has a wide range of experience to offer.

The Mentors will spend the week giving advice and agreeing action plans with enrolled business owners and managers. This service is totally free of charge for qualifying businesses.

The Pacific Business Mentoring Programme aims to up-skill business owners and managers by analysing processes and procedures and then providing suggestions for improvements or efficiencies.

Mentors also work with business owners to develop an action plan for improvement.

If business owners in Honiara would like to know more about this programme there will be a free presentation, Thursday 3 July, 5pm to 6:30pm, at Heritage Park Hotel, Galley 4.

To book a seat and for further information please contact James Dolarii at SICCI, Solomon Islands Chamber of Commerce either by email ([email protected]) or  calling 39542.
