Set to take place in Auckland, New Zealand from the 22-23 May, 2014 and organized by the South Pacific Tourism Organization, South Pacific Tourism Exchange is a critical event in helping to drive the economic sustainability and wealth of the region.
South Pacific Tourism Organization CEO Mr Ilisoni Vuidreketi said that SPTE will provide a forum for national tourism offices, hotels, resorts, cruise companies, tourist attraction operators, airlines, tour operators and up to 16 Pacific Island countries, adding “These countries include Cook Islands, Fiji, Samoa, Tahiti, Tonga, Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands to meet, interact and do business with up to 50 International tour operators and wholesalers from around the world to discuss and create valuable new business to the region”.
Mr Vuidreketi also said SPTE is an ideal event for travel wholesalers seeking to grow their business into the South Pacific, providing unique and cost effective means for travel wholesalers to engage in direct business negotiations with suppliers from around the region, adding, “SPTE is the perfect platform for Pacific tourism suppliers to directly promote their products to up to 50 international wholesalers/tour operators and all taking place under one roof.”
Also, 45 wholesalers from Australia, New Zealand, Germany, UK, Canada, Belgium and USA, Switzerland, Sweden, Italy, France, Finland and the Netherlands have already registered to participate with more registering every day.
SPTE Seller registration is also very strong, with private and NTO sellers registered to participate from American Samoa, Cook Islands, Fiji, Niue, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tahiti, Tonga, Vanuatu, Kiribati, Marshall Islands and the Federated States of Micronesia, offering what is probably the single most comprehensive South Pacific tourism offering ever.
Buyer and seller appointment will be on a one on one basis during the 2 day event, with online appointment scheduling for registered buyers and sellers taking place between 14 April – 10 May where sellers and buyers can book appointment slots with who they want to meet.
Registered buyers will also be able to strengthen partnerships or build new ones with key Pacific islands operators, growing their business to the South Pacific and on the other hand, registered sellers, will not only meet with international wholesalers and tour operators enthusiastic about growing their business into the South Pacific, but also benefit through media and PR exposure through the SPTE media programme.
All registered buyers and sellers will be able to obtain market intelligence and growth strategy feedback via pre-scheduled appointments and strengthen their network of travel and tourism partners from around the region.
