SAINT Nicholas College has crowned four queens, to represent the school in the upcoming ACOMSIC games, during a Beauty Pageant show, last Friday.

For the traditional category, young Tatiana Bogutu will be representing the school in the junior category, while Marrilyn Koga for the senior category.

A total of 26 students took the stage in Friday’s event, showcasing their modern, traditional costumes and talents.

Director of Miss Solomon Beauty Pageant Joyce Konofilia highly commended the contestants for their high level of performance and confidence.

“You girls are really good on the level of confidence and your catwalks are completely original,” she said.

Ms Konofilia said they should be proud of themselves, for having the confidence to promote their intelligence.

She said this year, Solomon Islands will be hosting the Miss Solomon Islands Beauty Pageant again, and there is potential for them to recruit from the school.

The Events Management expert added that, St Nicholas should also be proud because their student Emily Chan represented Solomon Islands in the Miss South Pacific Pageant in Fiji, last year.

Director of Culture division, Ministry of Culture and Tourism (MCT), Dennis Marita also congratulated the contestants for showcasing their confidence and talents.

He encouraged the young girls to continue in promoting their cultures and identities.

Mr Marita said, Solomon Islands will be hosting the 6th Melanesia Art Festival 25 days from now and he is proud that 100 students from St Nicholas will be part of team participating at the opening ceremony.
