CITREC Canada Corpis continuing to empower the women of Guadalcanal.

Its latest addition to the Canadian workforce is May Resture, who arrived in Canada yesterday and was issued with a two-year work permit to be employed in Canada's agriculture sector.

May was received by her Canadian employer who was waiting for her arrival at Vancouver International airport, accompanied by three other Guadalcanal women who are employed in the same farm.

She joins other hard working women of Guadalcanal.

Citrec Canada Corp chairman Ashwant Dwivedi thanked former Guadalcanal premier Anthony Veke for creating the opportunity for women of Guadalcanal during his leadership tenure.

He said that labour mobility remains Solomon Islands best choice to help build the nation that is facing unemployment.

Dwivedi added Canada in the coming days is going to be issuing six more visas under Permanent Residence nomination.
