The team is made up of Gizo Police Officers, Red Cross, Agriculture and R- WASH (Rural Water Sanitation Hygiene).
They will visit communities in ward 8 from Barakoma village to Kimbiri which are believed to have been affected by the heavy rain.
Another team has also left for Kuzi on Kolombangara to conduct similar assessment.
Gizo Red Cross also visited Kongu in Gizo Island where two dwelling houses were damaged by the recent bad weather.
The families were displaced after their homes were hit by landslide last week.
