Koloale FC was the first team who picked up their first three points over Vania FC with a narrow 3-2 victory in the opening match on Monday.
Indo-Solo followed the same trend by thrashing Henderson Eels 8-1 to register their first three points and is leading group B with seven goal average.
The third match saw SIPA Futsal league champions; Marist FC went down to Kooline FC from a 7-2 bitter defeat.
Solympics commonly known as the national U-17 futsal squad also grabbed their first three points after beating Guntimak 7-5 in a stunning showdown.
The fifth match of the day saw Real Kakamora FC displaying a wonderful performance from their 6-3 win over G-Camp.
Mataks FC wrapped by the day’s action with a 7-2 victory over KOSSA FC.
Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) Futsal Development Officer (FDO), Jerry Sam told Star Sports, SIPA fustal challenge day one matches has exposed range of talents from different age categories players competing in the national tourney.
“My general observation from day of this competition, I would say it’s fantastic,’’ Sam insists.
“If fact it’s good to organise this type of competition as we are engaging our futsal players after about three break months break from our SIPA futsal league,’’ he added.
‘’So far so good, there were lots of hidden talents being exposed in the first day of this competition.
“I believe there are more exciting performance will be discovered in this competition as it will run for two weeks.’’
“But all in all as a development officer I am very excited about the level of performance all the twelve teams have demonstrated,’’ he added.
“I would also like to thank all the teams for their positive response in this competition,’’ he added.
Meanwhile the competition will continue today with its day two action that will kick off 10am today at the Multipurpose Hall.
