The match will be the first Super Rugby encounter in Fiji and one brought about by two of the tournament's heavyweights.
On paper, in the current New Zealand Conference standings after Round 15 last weekend, NemaniNadolo's Crusaders lead by 45 points from 12 matches and 10 wins. Chiefs on second position with 42 points after nine wins from 12 games.
The Suva match - the next Round, on July 1, could decide the table leaders and determine the venue for the semi-final.
All the more exciting for Fijian fans to turn up at Laucala Bay and watch our first Super Rugby match filled with some of our own.
"We also want to caution the public to be mindful of ticket fraudsters and counterfeiters," Litiana Loabuka, Fiji Sports Council CEO and chairperson of the Super Rugby Steering Committee in Fiji, said.
"The Fiji Sports Council is the only ticket agent in Fiji for the event and all tickets have security features to prevent counterfeiting. Be warned against opportunists who may sell tickets using false claims around player activations."
Meanwhile, the council has organised a roadshow tomorrow in the West to help people have easy access to tickets.
"Tickets for the match between the Gallagher Chiefs and the BNZ Crusaders will be on sale this Thursday at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka and at the Jack's Fiji main store in Nadi Town on Friday and Saturday. We're delighted to be able to offer this ticketing opportunity for Super Rugby fans along the Coral Coast and in the West. Ticket sales have really picked up over the last month and with 31 days to go, we are expecting a full stadium on game day."
The live global broadcast of the game will allow us to market Fiji in such a unique way.
"We are expecting to see a large number of overseas supporters that week and this really augurs well with Government's message in the wake of Tropical Cyclone Winston that the best way for people to help Fiji —— is to come and come visit us.
She said the tour schedules were now in final draft and the Super Rugby Secretariat based at the Fiji Sports Council had a facilitation plan in place for this pilot Super Rugby event.
"A team from TicketDirect, the match promoter was on the ground last week to go through the set up plans and they are very pleased with what they've seen so far."
