Welcome to our continuing discussion on the topic, ‘Our view of God.’ Before we look more closely at some of God’s characteristics, let’s take a few moments to evaluate our view of God. It’s one thing to say we’ve avoided the misconceptions about God that we have discussed over the last three weeks. It’s another thing to sense God’s eagerness for us to know Him.

This year, 2016, is shaping up to be an exciting, busy and critical one for the Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands (RAMSI) and the Solomon Islands Government (SIG). RAMSI is preparing to transfer the final policing and national security responsibilities to the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) before June 2017, while continuing to provide mentoring and guidance to police.

In the former but recent days when our country went through the height of the recent ethic crisis, our treasury was placed and plunged under a great and strenuous demand and notice by the barrel of the guns and war lords, but today it is even severe, the dynamics is vested in and with the shadowy policy instigation, and cabinet endorsed imposition in the name of the ruling Executive Government of the day to keep the political equilibrium intact on most occasion at our expense.

As the result of recent very high tariff introduce by SIPA, our country may be plunged into economic chaos.  After some dwell time the ripple effects of ports charges together with the inevitable snowballing of costs upon goods will arrive at the trade store.  The shopper’s money will afford less and less and his/her standard of living will decline.

When we lose hope, all we can see is what’s gone wrong and the disappointments in our lives.  As we begin our journey into 2016, we need to discover the essence of hope to overcome the disappointments of 2015. Hope in God is the only kind that will work. It guides us in our destiny in life.
