Customs is yet to carry out an investigation into claims of Solomon Airlines practice of smuggling goods reported late last year by a former airline employee.
Comptroller of customs Nathan Kama said they would not let this issue die away without a proper investigation to verify claims made by the employee.
Mr Kama said they are still waiting for a formal report to be submitted to them from the former airline employee before a full investigation is underway.
"We are already aware of the issue and have asked for a formal report to be submitted by the employee when the news came out in the media.
"But up until now we have not received a report from the former employee.
"However we are still waiting. As long as we receive the report, a full investigation will be carried out," Mr Kama said.
It was reported last year that Solomon Airlines has been smuggling goods over the years to avoid customs duty and GST tax.
It was revealed thousands of dollars in tax and duty has been evaded by Solomon Airlines over the years without customs' knowledge.
This was reported by a former Solomon airlines employee who wants the nation to know about the practice of the current airline executive of avoiding taxes due to the government for their self benefit.
These allegations were however denied by Solomon Airlines Manager Commercial Gus Graus and the airlines Operation Manager.
