THE local dollar (SBD) in December 2009 remained stable against the US dollar for the ninth consecutive month, trading on average at $8.06 per USD.
The Central Bank, in its monthly economic bulletin for the month, revealed this.
The report however, said the SBD appreciated on average by 1.8% against the Australian dollar to $7.28 per AUD, 2.3% against the British Pound to $13.08 per GBP, 4.4% against the Japanese Yen to $9.02 per 100 JPY, 1.5% against the New Zealand dollar to $5.80 per NZ and 1.9% against the EURO to $11.78 per EURO.
