DELI-in-the-Plaza continues to gain popularity as a shop that specialises in selling various small goods and products.
Owner Irene Stephenson said since Deli-in-the-Plaza opened its doors in early 2000 it had continued to sell small food items.
She said the shop is probably the only place in Honiara that sells various food products used by Europeans and Asians for their cooking and meals.
As the Solomon Star found out there are various food products used in western or Asian cuisines.
For instance, there are Japanese sauce which can be used for sushi. There are also green tea products.
On display as well are various kinds of curry, chilli, sauce, meat products which are not normally sold in Honiara shops.
Ms Stephenson said they have local, European and Asian customers who are visiting the shop daily to do their shopping.
"This is because of the varieties of food products we have here," she said.
She said the only problem they have is lack of space for expansion.
"But we are happy to provide the service to our customers both local and overseas," she said.
The shop also operates a supermarket, which sells household goods for families.
Early this month, Deli-in-the-Plaza started processing and packing meat products at its butcher shops rather than importing it from overseas like in the past.
Panatina Plaza is probably one of the first shopping/office complexes, which has office and shops under one roof.
Ms Stephenson said Panatina Plaza provides a convenient place for customers because there are banking facilities, pharmacy, private medical practitioners, radio stations, supermarkets and food court for customers who can come and enjoy their meal.
There is also a large parking space that is manned by security guards.
