IN its effort to deliver quality service at the right price, Bulk Shop has relocated to a larger retail and wholesale premises 30 meters from the old premises and is now located adjacent to Mat Insurance.
Bulk shop manager Tele Bartlett said the new location was necessary to cater for the growing and changing markets.
“Honiara and the socio-demographics of our customers are changing. We wanted to maximize our space to gain efficiency, we now have a sales office upstairs where customers can make specialty orders,” Mrs Bartlett said.
“There is also more accessible parking that is important for our customers.
“We have fresh produce that arrives from over seas monthly and also entering into the wholesale business such as snacks and Crest Chickens from Fiji.”
Mrs Bartlett said Bulk shop has always strived on its motto, “buying more for less”.
“Unfortunately though some costs are simply beyond control, prices of brown sugar are at a all time high on the world market and bulk shop has negotiated hard for better pricing but there will some adjustments in the future.
“Bulk shop hopes to continue assisting smaller informal business such as ice-bula/ice block and also pop corn sellers.
“In its 18th year this year, Bulk Shop continually strives for improvement.”
Manager Joyce Waitoro is confident customers will appreciate the new Bulk Shop setting.
