The company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Julien Coustaury said the number of towers constructed in Honiara, Guadalcanal, Malaita and Western provinces is just part of its phase 1, already reaching an unprecedented number of potential users.
“At the launching date, we will cover more than 150, 000 Solomon Islanders already surpassing the service offered by our competitor.
“And this is in less than 9 months after touching ground,” he said.
Mr Coustaury said the construction of towers is moving ahead of schedule and he announced mobile services will be up and running very soon.
“People in the Solomon Islands must see the end of the monopoly mindset in the telecommunications sector,” he added .
bemobile has been claiming they will offer “the best service at the best price” since touching ground in January this year.
So far more than 15 towers are being constructed in the first four targeted provinces including Honiara.
The Papua New Guinea based company has already finished planning of Phase 2 and is gearing up for its roll out soon.
