While the capital Honiara is welcoming the arrival of bemobile network last week Our Telekom sales team led by Buala based senior sales officer Rolley Bogese known as 'Saba' took a long ride down to the end of Isabel Island in Kia to do sales promotion in the remote community.

In Kia the team held two solid days sales promotion on mobile, SIM cards, solar charger and give aways.

Prices of different mobile handsets has dropped from $150, $200, $300, $380 and $665 respectively.

The two days were packed by people of Kia buying themselves new handsets and solar charger which was witnessed as a hot cake.

Asian loggers who reside in one of the camps in Nanakio flocked the sales station queuing up for the karange special topup services.

Within less than five minutes thousand of dollars was transferred to the individual’s mobiles.

By the time the credits was run out, luckily for the team the senior E TopUp Officer Brain Lotikena was there and so he called the Honiara office and a reload of TopUp transfer was made within a second to serve the demanding customers queuing up.

A number of TopUp agents were also sign up. Apart from the sales, there was also question and answer session where public answer questions for giveaways.

Also there was awareness on simple steps on how to use mobile, SMS, P2P and general information sharing conducted by the public relations desk.

A business man in Kia, John Toga who is also the main TopUp dealer in Kia said the mobile services in Kia really helps him especially in he’s business.

For example since last November he never come up to Honiara to order he’s cargo. All he is doing now just calling up the wholesale and placing his order.

Kia population really appreciates Our Telekom in coming to their door steps and conduct the special sales.

With the strong presence of Our Telekom offices in all the provinces of Solomon Islands the company will continue to expand its services to the rural communities of the country.

Similar sales will follow soon in other provincial rural areas where mobile coverage is and in Honiara soon.
