The Magistrates Court last week adjourned the case of a 34-year-old father accused of raping his 14-year-old daughter over a four years period for the submission on the outcome of a Long Form PI conducted.
The father who cannot be named to protect the identity of his daughter is facing four counts of rape.
It was alleged that he raped his daughter once was in 2005 when she was only 10 years old three times this year.
A
long form Preliminary Inquiry was conducted on Wednesday and concludes
yesterday with the victim finished giving her evidence.
During
the PI the father sat behind a covered bar so he cannot be seen by the
daughter when giving her evidence in a closed court.
After the cross examination from the Defense Counsel the matter was then adjourned to December 14 for the submissions.
This is to decide whether there is enough evidence for the matter to be committed to the High Court.
George Gray from the Public Solicitor’s Office is representing the father.
