Hundreds of people matched to the Governor General's house (Government House) this afternoon protesting against the election of the new Prime Minister Gordon Darcy Lilo.
Solomon Star reporters present at the protest said that the protesters are not happy at all with Gordon Darcy Lilo who they claim is corrupt.
Hundreds of protesters are waiting outside the Government house at Kola ridge for a decision from the Governor General, Sir Frank Kabui.
Sir Frank Kabui is expected to address the people around 4.30 this afternoon.
Meanwhile a tense situation at Chinatown was calmed down by the Royal Solomon Islands police force with the assistance of Participating Police force which some people threw rocks at the police riot squad.
The situation has since calmed down.
