A workshop for cocoa farmers around Munda,Western province kicked off today in Munda.
It was organised by Cocoa Livelihood Program (CLIP), an Australian funded project which focused on cocoa improvement.
Farmers that attended came from Roviana, Rendova and New Georgia.
During the workshop the farmers raised issues of concern and challenges relating to cocoa farming.
Field trips and demonstration were also being conducted in the week-long gathering.
A Western provincial government minister opened the workshop today.
Honiara based CLIP staff are in Munda to facilitate the program.
