THIS year’s Christmas celebration has been described as one of the road’s safest according to acting director of traffic sergeant Sam Babalu.
Mr Babalu said there were no major accidents involving alcohol.
“It was really safe and quiet. There were only minor accidents and incidents such as drinking and acting in disorderly behaivor which is quite normal but no major incidents has happened during this Christmas celebration on the roads,” he said.
He said families enjoyed the Christmas season peacefully.
Mr Babalu said people should uphold such good behavior in the New Year’s celebrations. He appealed to people to enjoy this New Year’s celebration in a similar way.
“We want people to enjoy with their families and friends in the same manner they did during Christmas,” he said.
