Rev Crossman is the President of Mothers Union in Australia.
She will open the Provincial Mothers Union Council meeting at All Saints this morning, meets with Archbishop David Vunagi and general secretary before making her outdoor visits starting tomorrow.
Vice president of Provincial Mothers Union, Catherine Lamani said this was the first time for a woman leader of Anglican in Australia to visit them.
“This is a big thing for us to encourage Mother Union here to see the importance of their work,” she said.
“She will help boost the spiritual side of their lives and also see the work of the Mothers Union here.”
Rev Crossman yesterday morning preached to hundreds of people at the Cathedral church on the story of Jesus feeding the 5000 people with the help of the little boy.
“I’am very happy to come here and see for myself the progress of Mothers Union in this country,” she said.
“What I’m going to impart women here is on the importance of leadership.
“I will talk about the passion of leadership and give them the sense of direction,” Rev Crossman said.
Rev Crossman will visit the Diocease of Central Solomon Islands in Gela on Tuesday; Gueora Parish and Tasimboko Ilanga Parish including members of Mothers Union at Guadalcanal plains and Christian Outreach Centre on Wednesday; and visit Sahalu Parish including Bishop Patterson Theological College at Kohimarama and Tabalia on Thursday.
She returns to Brisbane, Australia on Friday.
