Member of Parliament (MP) for Central Guadalcanal encouraged Kamakasi dorcas societies to continue campaign for God to ensure souls are being saved in God’s kingdom.
Peter Shanal Angovaka made the remarks at the closing of a weeklong dorcas federation of the Kamakasi dorcas federation yesterday.
The federation was held at Doma, west Guadalcanal.
Kamakasi is a newly formed dorcas federation involving all the Guadalcanal dorcas societies between the region from the Miamami in North Guadalcanal to Aruligo West Guadalcanal.
In his remarks Mr Shanel challenged the women to shine out to people who are in need of help and God.
“You have an obligation and responsibility in this earth to help and respect all God’s creation.
“As a new federation I urged you to continue doing what you supposed to do in this area.”
He stressed like MPs who campaign for people to vote for them during election time, dorcas members must also campaign for souls so that they can be saved in God’s kingdom.
The former foreign affairs minister encouraged the women’s group to help those who are in need.
“Visitation and sharing of Gods messages must not end today, but I urged you to continue with your good work.”
Meanwhile secretary of the Kamakasi dorcas federation, Emmy Sogavare told the Solomon Star that the federation was really blessed with the program.
She said God really touched them and the people they have visited throughout the week.
Mrs Sogavara said Kamakasi is just a newly formed federation with 12 member churches.
She said the societies will continue with their work and served communities in their areas.
She thanked Guadalcanal province for allowing Doma to host the weeklong program.
The next Kamakasi federation will be hosted by Miamami dorcas society next year at a venue is yet to be announced.
