PRIME Minister Gordon Darcy Lilo has denied
claims he ordered the Ministry of Lands to omit his name and his ministers from
a rental debtors list published in the media this week.
And he described Opposition leader Dr Derek Sikua on this as “an outright lie statement”.
“At no time he I given any orders to any person(s), not even to the minister of lands for the removal of my name and his ministers,” Mr Lilo said.
“This is a total outright lie and I want Dr Sikua to tell me who and where he got the information from and at what time so that I will deal with the officer for telling lies to him.”
Mr Lilo said Dr Sikua is very desperate and has gone out of control by fabricating and making false stories to try and rebuild his image after the debacle last week in Parliament.
“But any attempt to save his face is further damaged because of his new lies to the public,” Mr Lilo said.
He said it will be interesting to know “what will be the next lie to come from the Opposition leader”.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister has warned Dr Sikua that he will be taking him to task for the lie in next week’s Parliament sitting.
