In a statement today, Lilo said: “Sikua is the king of lies in Solomon Islands political history.”
“I can’t find a better word for a leader who continues to mislead the public except to re-iterate my label of him ‘lie’ as the most appropriate word,” he said.
Lilo said the Ministry of Lands had thoroughly explained the issue and pointed out Sikua had lied about the claims he made against the prime minister.
“This shows how arrogant he is and points to a destitute leader who just two weeks ago was on the run from attending parliament,” he said.
“Now he is doing all sorts of things including telling lies to save his humiliated face,” Lilo said.
The prime minister maintained that he did not order the ministry of land to omit any of his ministers and back-benchers as claimed.
“Here we are dealing with a person who refused to accept the plain fact that he was wrong.
“Such leader is nothing short of a person hell-bent on telling lies.”
Meanwhile, Lilo said he is fully prepared to face Sikua in parliament this week to debate the issue.
He insisted that whoever provided the information to the Opposition leader was also a great liar.
The prime minister said he had already paid all his land rentals to the ministry.
