The men aged between 18 and 48 of Gilbertese origin will be transferred to Gizo where bail applications will be made for them on Thursday at the Gizo Magistrate’s Court.
The court heard that would be easier for them as they are from Gizo and they would have sureties available for them there.
All accused were charged in relation to the recent disturbances in the heart of Gizo, Western Province between October 26 and 27of this year.
The alleged incident occurred following the attack on one of their relatives by another ethnic group.
It was alleged that their relative earlier stabbed three men including a man from the Shortland Island.
The men from the Shortland Islands in retaliation attacked the alleged stabber which later resulted in the accused men causing a riot in Gizo.
A lawyer from the Public Solicitor’s Office Linda McSpedden yesterday sought disclosures be served to the Public Solicitor’s Office in order for the bail to be made.
Deputy Chief Magistrate Emma Garo ordered that disclosures be made by 10am today to the Public Solicitor’s Office.
She then further remanded all accused in custody until November 15 to appear before the Gizo Magistrate’s Court.
