PM take trips to Malaita, PNG

Prime Minister Gordon Darcy Lilo will in the next four days embark on two important engagements which will take him to Faumamanu in Malaita and Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea.


Mr Lilo will fly today to East Malaita to participate in the ground breaking ceremony of the Faumamanu growth centre where he will be joined by the Member of Parliament for East Malaita and Deputy Prime Minister, Hon. Manesseh Maelanga.

Those that will be attending the Faumamanu event include: the Minister for Rural Development, Hon. Lionel Alex, Minister for Lands Hon. Joseph Onika, Minister for Development Planning and Aid Coordination, Hon. Connelly Sandakabatu, Minister for Public Service, Hon. Stanley Sofu and MP for East Fataleka Hon. Steve Abana.

Upon his return, Prime Minister Lilo will fly to Port Moresby on tomorrow morning to attend the Special Pacific African, Caribbean and Pacific (PACP) leaders meeting in Port Moresby.

The one-day meeting takes place on Wednesday and the Prime Minister returns on Friday in time to attend the opening of the Paul Tovua Complex at the National Parliament on the same afternoon.
