MISS Solomon Islands Beauty queen,
Stephanie Prince, left yesterday for the Miss South Pacific Pageant 2012 show in
American Samoa with confidence.
The show was scheduled for December 2 to 8.
Ms Prince said she was honoured and excited to represent the country.
“This is new challenge for me but I will give my best shot and make sure I don’t return empty-handed,” she said.
She added that she looked forward to meeting new faces and making new friends.
“This show is not about beauty alone, but also getting to know and learn from other cultures and people in different settings.”
Ms Prince thanked those who helped her to win the local pageant show and paid tribute to her fellow pageants who participated in the show.
She also thanked her parents for standing by her.
Pageant director/team leader Stella Lucas said it will be a tight competition but the team has the confidence, trust and the faith in Ms Prince.
