And he said his ministry is currently moving into and focusing on peace and state building efforts.
Rukale said his ministry had made significant progress in the past in the areas of conflict reconciliation and peace building.
“These undertakings have been facilitated and complemented with initiatives and efforts from corporate service officers and donor partners like RAMSI and the United Nations Development Programme,” Rukale said.
He added it is important to note that his ministry faces emerging threats and challenges such as high population growth and high unemployment rate.
“This poses additional threat to the peace, unity and security of our country and thus the essence of advance trainings in the technical fields surrounding peace building and state building must be an essential undertaking of the ministry.”
Rukale called on every stakeholder to work closely with the ministry to uphold peace in the society and the country.
He assured the nation his ministry is committed to implement policies that align with peace building efforts in the country.
