Mr Faisi made the appeal during a teachers’ meeting in Honiara yesterday.
He said all education authorities must support the strike action as a show of support to the nation’s teachers.
Some private schools have already begun classes this week in the hope the government will address the teachers’ demand.
President of the Solomon Islands National Teachers Association (SINTA) has urging the Private Education Authorities around the country to supporting the teachers strike action.
“I call on each every education authority – private, churches and provincials – to back teachers in this action by not starting classes next week,” Mr Faisi said.
“Come and support SINTA so that together we could force the national government to address this long-overdue entitlement for our teachers.”
Mr Faisi said the strike is not about SINTA but for teachers throughout the country.
