Former prime minister and statesman Sir Peter Kenilorea says he’s deeply concern about the attitude of certain politicians.
Sir
Peter said there was a marked difference between previous politicians and the
current ones in how they govern the nation.
“The attitude of politicians of our time was to serve the nation,” Sir Peter said.
“This is no longer the case with the current lot,” the country’s first prime minister said.
He said during their time, the limited resources made available to them were used to develop the country.
“Today’s politicians have so much at their disposal but they are not putting these resources into good use.”
Sir Peter added that during their time, there was proper use of contingency warrants and supplementary appropriations but now things are done the opposite way.
