The committee has consulted the provincial government but is yet to give mandate to ensure all fundraisings done in Honiara must channel through the established committee.
The committee said they have met last week for plans to move into second phase particularly to rebuild the Luesalemba provincial secondary school.
Luesalemba was reportedly to have lost five staff houses and four classrooms.
“We want to do something though forth coming assistance in the future but as Temotuans we must be responsible,” the committee said.
Currently students were housed under tents as their classrooms that it’s not a conducive learning environment for them.
The statement said: “We are planning to host an Island night to raise funds as contribution to rebuild the Luesalemba school.”
