SECURITY at the 2010 Solomon Islands Mission Youth Congress of the Seventh Day Adventist Church will be tightened.
Royal Solomon Islands Police Force and PPF officers will be present to ensure the event run successfully.
Mission Associate Youth Director Raynick Jack said that a Police post will be located at the entrance to the congress site along the main road at Lunga River.
Mr Jack said that since this was one of the major programs to be organised this year, the Police have been called in just to ensure a peaceful time for youths.
“We don’t expect any problems but police presence will give confidence to participants who are camping in the areas.
“Their presence will also helped maintain calm and order during the weeklong congress,” he said.
A medical center has also been set up at the site along with a canteen and market to supply for the youths.
