Popular local gospel group, Sapphire Singers launched their fifth album ‘Young Heart’ on Saturday night.

The group which comprises young talented singers from the Seventh Day Adventist Church stunned the crowd with a new flavor of contemporary gospel music that suits young people during the launching.

With stunning outfits and melodious harmonies, Sapphire blew everyone away right from their grand entry.

According to members of the group, the album was a huge achievement as they made some big progressive change.

“It is recorded under copyright new label and totally different from their previous ones.”

During the night about 140 copies were sold-out and more copies will be out for sale at the Adventist Book Center soon.

The new album is more contemporary with upbeat melody featuring four remaining members of the group.

Many of their Australian fans have also attended the launching on Saturday night.

Production assistant of the group Tozen Leokana said the album was produced according to youth setting.

“It is more about youth’s choices and the challenges they encounter which they often realized”.

He also confirmed that ‘Young Heart’ is expected to be sold-out in Australia and New Zealand.

Although some of their singers have since moved on, four remained to produce this latest album.

The new album has eleven tracks, one in Papua New Guinea’s Tok Pisin.

The video shooting of the new DVD was done in Australia.

It took them two months to complete the filming.

Sapphire was formed in 2002 by a group of Betikama College students and has since produced four albums.
